The challenge
The club had been saving hard for many years, but in a small regional town, building funds are slow to grow. Securing a large grant takes far more than a good application; it starts well before the funding round ever opens.
What was delivered
- Assisted the club with lobbying local, State and Federal members, so the right people knew who they were and what they were trying to build for their community
- Supported the club hosting ministerial visits and provided the presentation taken to Parliament through the local member
- Expression of interest, which saw the club invited to submit a full application for the Queensland Government's Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program
- Full grant application and supporting documentation that secured $1.18M for the club
- Value management of the design and construction methodology with a local builder, so it could be built within the available funding
- Step-by-step guidance for the club, with all the tools and supporting documentation they needed to deliver the project successfully

$1.18Msecured for the club through the Queensland Government's Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program.
The outcome
$1.18M secured through the Queensland Government's Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program, and a value-managed design & build that fit within the funding available. The club had everything it needed to deliver an international-standard, high-performance training venue.
